How Our Schools Work Together

A Collaborative Approach to Excellence

As a group of schools working together within a single entity, we are able to achieve far more than stand-alone schools. By fostering collaboration, sharing best practices, and supporting each other, we ensure that every child benefits from the highest quality of education.

Strengthening Teaching and Learning

Our schools embrace a culture of continuous professional development. Teachers work and learn together, refining their teaching methods and sharing innovative practices that enhance the quality of education across the trust. Leaders collaborate on key areas such as curriculum design and assessment, ensuring consistency and excellence in educational delivery.

Furthermore, schools that require additional support receive structured assistance, helping them to improve and thrive. This collective approach enables teachers and leaders to move across schools within the trust, bringing their expertise where it is most needed.

Shared Governance

A single board of trustees governs all schools within our Multi Academy Trust (MAT). This structure provides strategic direction, fosters consistency, and ensures that every school is aligned with the trust's overarching vision and values.

The Board of Trustees cascades governance responsibilities down to a local governing body in each school. These local governing bodies work closely with head teachers and senior leaders to ensure that the school's strategic direction aligns with the overall trust vision while meeting the specific needs of their school community. They provide oversight, challenge, and support to help drive school improvement.

Collaboration on Curriculum and Teaching Practices

By working together, our schools can:

  • Share lesson plans, assessment strategies, and curriculum resources, enhancing the overall quality of education.
  • Develop unified teaching approaches that are informed by research and best practice.
  • Encourage peer support, networking and mentoring, strengthening teaching capabilities across the trust.

Professional Development Opportunities

Teachers and leaders from different schools participate in joint professional development programmes, enabling them to:

  • Share expertise and learn from one another.
  • Stay updated with the latest educational research and methodologies.
  • Engage in leadership development opportunities that contribute to the trust's collective success.

Resource Sharing

Pooling resources across our schools allows us to:

  • Provide access to specialist equipment and subject expertise.
  • Maximise funding efficiency, ensuring that resources benefit all academies within the trust.
  • Strengthen operational capacity, from administrative support to IT infrastructure.

Performance Monitoring and School Improvement

We adopt a data-driven approach to school improvement, ensuring that:

  • Data from all schools is analysed to identify strengths and areas for development.
  • Tailored support is provided to schools that require additional guidance.
  • Progress is continuously monitored to drive sustained improvements.

School Improvement Teams

A dedicated school improvement team works to enhance outcomes for children and young people by:

  • Developing School Improvement Plans (SIPs) that identify key priorities and link them to meaningful progress.
  • Providing tailored support and professional development opportunities.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the impact of initiatives on pupil achievement.
  • Collaborating with teachers, support staff, governors, parents, and pupils to foster an inclusive and thriving educational environment.

Key Areas of Focus for School Improvement

Our trust is committed to continuous improvement in the following areas:

  • Quality of Education: Ensuring excellence in teaching and learning.
  • Behaviour and Attitudes: Fostering positive behaviour and a strong learning ethos.
  • Personal Development: Supporting the holistic development of every child.
  • Leadership and Management: Strengthening leadership capacity at all levels.
  • Teaching and Learning: Enhancing pedagogical strategies for the best possible outcomes.

By working together, we create an educational community that is greater than the sum of its parts.

Together as a TEAM, we strive for excellence in all that we do.
